Mansion House Ghost Hunts, Cardiff

The Mansion house (Y Plasty) was the offical residence of the Lord mayor until 1971. The building dates back to 1896 and was built for a local business man. The house was originally called ‘The Grove’ and was built as a large family home. The house was bought by The Cardiff corporation in 1913 and has been grade II listed since 2002.

The building is now used as event venue, and it is often when events are taking place such as wedding that guests often report ghostly goings on. Visitors have reported seeing full apparitions, being touched by unseen hands and ghostly sounds of children’s laughter, and an eerie presence of a male energy is often experienced.
