Cannock Chase is 19 miles north of Birmingham and dates back over 1000 years. During the first world war a german prisoner of war camp was located here and was used as a training camp during both wars. Cannock Chase is said to be one of the most haunted outdoor locations in the UK with the most common story of the black eyed child. Many have reported being approached by a ‘ghost girl’ with black sunken eyes asking for help. There are also stories of beast that are half man half animal.
