Once lost in time, the streets were rediscovered during the restoration of this royal arcade in west Yorkshire. In the basement workers discovered a whole street filled with Edwardian style shops, the street was once located at ground level but became abandoned in the 1890’s. A map from 1612 also shows two substantial houses on Low street.

The shops on the underground street still have all of their original fronts and signage. Shortly after the discover of the underground street, workers started to report strange things happening, such as disembodied voices talking in conversation, object moving, doors opening and closing if their ow accord, the sound of bells, footsteps walking the streets and much more.

Arrival is 15 minutes before the event start time, early admittance is not permitted.
