About Belgrave Hall

Belgrave Hall is located on the northern edge of the city Leicester and is a Queen Anne style grade two listed building and has a very long history with many occupants over the years.
Belgrave Hall was built for Edmund and Ann Craddock in 1709 as family home, set in two acres of walled gardens in Belgrave Leicester. Two years after the buildings completion Edmund and Ann died, the building was then owned by the Simons family for 45 years. The Vann family for 78 years, the Ellis family for 76 years and Thomas Morley for 13 years.
In 1936 Leicester City Council bought the building and Belgrave Hall became a museum, in more recent years the council made the decision to use the house and gardens as a heritage site rather than a museum.
Amongst other uses the building is now a popular venue for paranormal investigations due to its  ghostly sightings, many of the hall’s staff have reported many unexplained goings on, many have reported to have encountered a strong negative male energy upstairs and another energy who is reported to have dies in an accident at the hall.  Unexplained voices, cold spots, trigger objects have been activated including spikes on electronic paranormal equipment.
