Bannockburn House is a 17th century manor house located in Stirling, Scotland nestled in woodland and garden. The house has remined largely unchanged and many of its original features inside remain. Bannockburn house is thought to be built on the site of a previous building called Drummond’s Hall. Bannockburn house has been referred to by a specialist as a ”rare survivor of its time”.
The house has molded timber wall panels, elaborate plasterwork, decorative timber staircase, fire surrounds with mosaic tiles all dating back to the 17th century. In the 1970s the large drawing room was severely damaged by fire and is now referred to as the ‘burnt room’. When this room was being cleared some very special features were highlighted and many say is one of the most beautiful rooms in the house.
